The GoPro does 4k and I can't tell the difference.

Nope it's just about clarity of the image and pixelization. It's also on the flip side harder to edit, because it's choppy if you don't have the right hardware.

I used to be able to count the pixels in HD but ever since they went 4k I lose count around a million.
