Dear Insanity is an album by Australian artist DPR IAN released in 2023 that continues the story of MITO and other characters that represent the different personalities that live inside this artist.
En Famous Last Words Ian nos da una introducción a todo el álbum, nos cuenta que la locura lo esta consumiendo y ya no sabe distinguir entre lo que es real y lo que no. Aún así, ian sigue luchando para recuperar su cordura, sabe que no será fácil pero es una batalla que esta dispuesta a pelear.
Nos hemos aventurado demasiado en nuestras vidas.
Y todo lo que pensábamos que era un sueño

In Famous Last Words Ian gives us an introduction to the whole album, he tells us that madness is consuming him and he no longer knows how to distinguish between what is real and what is not. Still, Ian continues to fight to regain his sanity, he knows it won't be easy but it's a battle he's willing to fight.

Don't Go Insane habla sobre encontrar el consuelo propio y ocultar nuestro dolor, él sabe que le sucede y eso lo hace distanciarse de los demás, desconectarse, y esto hace que se hunda aún más en su propia locura. Otra opción es fingir que todo esta normal, fingir ¨Demencia¨ confiando en que nadie se dará cuenta de lo que sucede dentro de su mente. Aún así anhela tener a alguien en quien confiar cuando este en sus momentos bajos pero es difícil encontrar a alguien quien se quede en tus malos momentos y esto llega a producir ansiedad así que prefiere mantener el control por su cuenta.

*Don't Go Insane" talks about finding our own comfort and hiding our pain, he knows what is happening to him and that makes him distance himself from others, disconnect, and this makes him sink even deeper into his own madness. Another option is to pretend that everything is normal, to pretend ¨Dementia¨ trusting that no one will notice what is going on inside his mind. He still longs to have someone to confide in when he is in his low moments but it is difficult to find someone who will stay in your bad moments and this produces anxiety so he prefers to keep control on his own.

Violet Crazy a primera vista puede parecer una canción sobre una relación fuerte y abrumadora, y al mismo tiempo muestra un deseo de librarse de esa conexión emocional. Recordemos que Ian menciona el morado en otra de sus canciones llamada Mood diciendo ¨Tus violetas en los horizontes¨ este es un color que representa la imaginación, la locura, la creatividad, el misterio y la magia.

Violet Crazy at first glance may seem like a song about a strong and overwhelming relationship, and at the same time it shows a desire to get rid of that emotional connection. Let's remember that Ian mentions purple in another of his songs called Mood saying ¨Your violets on horizons¨ this is a color that represents imagination, madness, creativity, mystery and magic.

Welcome To The Other Side podría literalmente ser una bienvenida. Una canción sobre transformación y aceptación luego de un viaje de autodescubrimiento. Inicia un nuevo capitulo aceptando todos sus lados incluyendo los más oscuros. Personalmente es una de mis canciones favoritas de este álbum debido a su magnifico instrumental.

*Welcome To The Other Side could literally be a welcome. A song about transformation and acceptance after a journey of self-discovery. It starts a new chapter by accepting all its sides including the darker ones. Personally it is one of my favorite songs on this album because of its magnificent instrumental.

No les miento cuando les digo que vale la pena escuchar las 7 canciones de Dear Insanity (o en realidad cualquier canción de este artista. Por el momento este será mi último post sobre Ian pero en cuanto vuelva a sorprendernos con su música e historias les contaré toda mi opinión por aquí, espero tengan un lindo día y muchas gracias por leer.
I'm not lying when I tell you that the 7 songs of Dear Insanity (or really any song by this artist) are worth listening to. For the moment this will be my last post about Ian but as soon as he comes back to surprise us with his music and stories I will tell you all my opinion here, I hope you have a nice day and thank you very much for reading.
