in Music2 years ago

Hello Hive Community and Music Lovers!

I'm back here again and I'm full of energy as we are already in this time of the year, the last month of 2021, a Christmas season, that's why to celebrate and start with all the spirit I made a small compilation of my favorite gaitas, which in turn are quite famous.

To begin with, the gaitas are a musical genre that stands out for being from the state of Zulia, in Venezuela. This same musical genre has a close relationship with Christmas, it is no wonder that as soon as November starts, there are already places where you can listen to this enchanting music, that as soon as you listen to them you are able to feel multiple emotions. It is something that makes me feel very proud of my culture, even though I am not from Zulia.

Undoubtedly, my favorite gaita, narrating to a good musical sound difficult times in the state of Zulia, as a political-economic depression in which the state was involved, with lyrics where prayers are expressed to the patron virgin, waiting for a miracle to help her people Zulia

In this gaita reference is made to the home and the deep love it has for its great symbolism, even if it has been a place of low resources, having great appreciation and remembering with detail and adoration the good times spent in it.

This unmistakable gaita, I have not met a Venezuelan who does not recognize at least the chorus of it. With a phenomenal rhythm that makes you want to dance or sing it until you get tired, demonstrating the true flavor of a traditional gaita.

#4 ORINOCO

Alluding to the Orinoco River, belonging to Venezuela, in this song lyrics are sung alluding to the beauty and majesty of the abundant vegetation, as well as the fauna existing within this river, being a song dedicated to it.

This gaita tells us about a place of birth, a native land from which he has had to separate from it, remembering it as a home that will always remain in his heart with great meaning, hoping and longing to be able to return to those lands again at some point.

November 18, this gaita is about the celebration of the Feria de la Chinita, a popular festival celebrated in the city of Maracaibo, Zulia state, a celebration in which the Virgin of Chiquinquirá is venerated. The excellent lyrics are sung at a good rhythm and fill the ears of those who listen to it with an unparalleled melody.

#7 SAN BENITO.

This gaita, quite moving and danceable, refers to the feast of San Benito de Palermo, also known as the black saint, talking about how the party does not compare to others because the celebration and veneration that is made to this saint is quite large and well celebrated within the country, in turn, this party is also celebrated in regions of Colombia, taking place with great fervor, a phenomenal gaita.

Finally we find this quite nostalgic gaita, to tell the truth, I know many people that as soon as they hear it, they are filled with feeling to know that it is so close to the end of a year, and a new one begins, charging with sentimentality and a nostalgic aura to those who have to hear it.

And this has been my good post sharing with you a musical genre which I really like a lot, a little of the culture of my country and how good their music is, in these Christmas airs in which we are currently. I hope you liked it and that you have a beautiful Christmas and a prosperous New Year, full of good wishes and many successes.... See you in the next post!
