I have been into music for a long time now, but I have never been good with lyrics. I know friends who could come up with beautiful lyrics right on the spot, but it is just not what I am good at. At some point, I took it as a challenge. I started making gospel freestyles and posting them here on Hive. All the while, it has been going well, but I am not perfect yet. Or probably, I am not yet as good as I wish to become.
I have performed freestyles that are better than this in the past. Just like I said, this is probably the worst music video I have ever published here on Hive. Yet, I have decided to post it as I consider it part of my journey. After all, it has not been a perfect journey. There have been so many re-recordings, edits, and sometimes, changes to the intended post; but in all, we kept on making attempts to become better. I ask then, that you consider this post my imperfect attempt.
The lyrics were not previously intended, but they ended up speaking of the loving nature of God and the fact that we are completely dependent on His love. The lyrics are indeed beautiful; though they were not organized, they are beautiful. Given that I am yet to get really good at this freestyle thing, I might not have used the most beautiful words, but the message is clear and direct.
