Hello friends of Hive and the Music community, I'm Fernando from @fernanblog, as usual every week I bring new musical material, this time, I have made a guitar cover of a Canadian gothic rock/metal band called "The Birthday Massacre". Although the name may be suggestive, this band has a very fantastic atmosphere in all their albums, alluding to stories or themes very much in the style of Alice in Wonderland. A band that I personally recommend for those who like the gothic genre, as their music is heavy but subtle at the same time, and what differentiates them from other bands of the same genre is the unique sound of synths and guitar effects, without leaving behind the powerful riffs and the spectacular voice of their singer.
The song I chose to play was "In The Dark", 1st single from their 4th studio album called "Pins and Needles" released in 2010. It is easy to play and very enjoyable as it is calm and aggressive at the same time, a good contrast for those of us who like rock and metal in all its genres.

Hola amigos de Hive y de la comunidad Music, soy Fernando de @fernanblog, como ya es habitual cada semana traigo nuevo material musical, en esta ocasión, he hecho un cover de guitarra de una banda canadiense de rock/metal gótico llamada “The Birthday Massacre” (La Masacre de Cumpleaños). A pesar de que el nombre puede ser sugestivo, esta banda se desenvuelve en un ambiente muy fantástico en todos sus discos, haciendo alusión a cuentos o temáticas muy al estilo Alicia en el País de las Maravillas. Una banda que en lo personal recomiendo para quienes les gusta el género gótico, ya que su música es pesada pero sutil a la vez, y lo que la diferencia de otras bandas del mismo género es el sonido único de los synths y los efectos de guitarra, sin dejar atrás los poderosos riffs y la espectacular voz de su cantante.
La canción que elegí para tocar fue “In The Dark” (En la Oscuridad), 1er sencillo de su 4to álbum de estudio llamado “Pins and Needles” (Alfileres y Agujas) lanzado en el año 2010. Es fácil de tocar y se disfruta mucho ya que es calmada y agresiva a la vez, un buen contraste para los que nos gusta el rock y el metal en todos sus géneros.
