Hello my dear friends, in this week of #TTT I want to leave you three songs of an artist who says goodbye to the musical stages but without a doubt his songs, phrases, rhythm and flavour will continue to be present from generation to generation because he was and will continue to be:

The Big Boss- Daddy Yankee 🤴.

Hola mis queridos amigos, en esta semana de #TTT quiero dejarle tres canciones de un artista que se despide de los escenarios musicales pero que sin duda sus canciones, frases, ritmo y sabor seguirá presente de generación en generación porque fue y seguirá siendo: The Big Boss- Daddy Yankee 🤴.

La Gasolina (2004)

Quiero aclarar que tendría que hacer como 8 publicaciones porque su legado abarca más de 20 años de historias, canciones, anécdotas y que fue ejemplo de muchas generaciones que vinieron después de él y lo reconocen como uno de los pioneros de este ritmo.

La canción mas conocida y famosa a nivel mundial es sin duda la Gasolina "dale mas gasolina" 😎.

Corría por allá el año 2000 y aunque habían otros cantantes que nos invitaban a bailar, la temática siempre era "la tiradera" es decir, "yo soy mejor que tú", "soy el rey" y cosas de enemistades encima del escenario.

Daddy no, Daddy hizo una canción que hacía vibrar, que apenas sonaban y esos pies se paraban solitos a bailar en medio de la pista ¡TODOS! Aprendieron la canción, todos la cantaban, la euforia y locura de escucharla en la radio, en las discotecas (ya que era mi época de vida nocturna), el video de los autos, las mujeres haciendo esos pasos de coreografia, miren la locura total; fue una canción que marcó un antes y un después y que alcanzo nominaciones históricas como a los Grammy, además de innumerosos premios que decían "el reggaetón llegó para quedarse" y allí Daddy pasó a ser uno de su mayores exponentes.

Gasoline (2004)

Daddy no, Daddy made a song that made vibrate, that just sounded and those feet stood up by themselves to dance in the middle of the dance floor, EVERYBODY! They learned the song, everyone sang it, the euphoria and madness of listening to it on the radio, in the discotheques (since it was my time of nightlife), the video of the cars, the women doing those choreographed steps, look at the total madness; it was a song that marked a before and after and that reached historic nominations such as the Grammys, as well as countless awards that said "reggaeton is here to stay" and Daddy became one of its greatest exponents.

El limbo (2012)

Después de semejante éxito, era muy díficil superar La Gasolina, pero creánme que si lo logró; cada canción era mejor que la anterior y cuando se pensaba haber visto todo, llegaba con mas y mas canciones que no importaba el idioma que tuvieras, el rey Daddy lograba unir naciones.

El Limbo llegó avanzado ya el 2012 y hace alusión al "juego" que por años se ha hecho que consiste dos personas sostienen un palo y las demás personas en formados en tren pasan por debajo de él y haciendo pasos de baile ¡Una locura! Cómo ese juego tan infantil y de años Daddy lo transformó en una canción también que llegó a nivel mundial, y una de las más aclamadas en los conciertos y sitios de baile así como la preferida en las coreografías escolares.

Recuerdo que cuando salió esa canción, con mi grupo de amigas (que aún teníamos 20🤣) bailábamos y algunas aún pasaban por debajo aunque otras no lo lograbamos 🙋 ¡Qué tiempos aquellos!🤣.

Total que es una canción vigente, muy rítmica y una vez más ratificaba su espríritu innovador, creativo, ritmo pegajoso y su marca distinta a las demás que cuando sonaba nadie se quedaba sentado 😎.

The limbo (2012)

I remember when that song came out, with my group of friends (we were still 20🤣) we danced to it and some of us still got underneath it, although others didn't make it 🙋 What a time those were 🤣.

All in all, it is a very rhythmic song and once again it ratified its innovative spirit, creative, catchy rhythm and its different brand that when it was played no one would sit still 😎.

Mayor que yo (2005)

Esta canción es una de mis favoritas por dos razones: primero, porque mostraba que Daddy quería darle un giro diferente al concepto de que el reggaetón era solo de los bajos fondos (barrios) o quien era el mejor desprestigiando la carrera del otro.

Esta canción demostró que todos tenían espacio y que para todos había un lugar en el público a tal punto que cada quien creaba casi todos los días un éxito nuevo.

Así que, en vez de pelearse por una canción decidieron reunir sus talentos y ponerlos a disposición de una canción que fue éxito mundial (si todos son éxitos 🤣) Porque reunía a los mejores y el público disfruto de su unión de los mejores como Baby Ranks, Tony Tun Tun, Wisin y Yandel ¿Cómo no sería un éxito? De verdad que todos brillaron como nunca.

La segunda parte que me gustó, es que yo me la aprendí todita 🤣😅😂 y les digo que es bien díficil porque la parte de Daddy es muy rápida y con palabras propias de su tierra o inventadas por ellos, y tiene que hacerse sin respirar ¡Todo un reto musical! muy al estilo del Bigg Boss, que aún en las canciones retro (porque ya lo ponen como ese momento) siempre suena y todos las coreamos 😎.

Y aunque jamás pensé que llegaría, ya estoy pendiente si me la dedican por allí 🤣.

Older than me (2005)

This song is one of my favourites for two reasons: firstly, because it showed that Daddy wanted to give a different twist to the concept that reggaeton was only for the lowlife (barrios) or who was the best by discrediting each other's careers.

This song showed that everyone had a place and that there was a place for everyone in the public to such an extent that everyone was creating a new hit almost every day.

So, instead of fighting over a song they decided to put their talents together and put them at the disposal of a song that was a worldwide hit (if they are all hits 🤣) Because it brought together the best and the public enjoyed their union of the best like Baby Ranks, Tony Tun Tun, Wisin y Yandel How could it not be a hit? Truly they all shone like never before.

The second part that I liked, is that I learned it all 🤣😅😂 and I tell you that it is very difficult because Daddy's part is very fast and with words from their own land or invented by them, and has to be done without breathing. A musical challenge! very Bigg Boss style, that even in the retro songs (because they already put it as that time) always sounds and we all chant 😎.

And although I never thought it would come, I'm already waiting to see if they dedicate it to me 🤣.

Daddy left a legacy, there is no doubt that when talking about the creators or promoters or the best songs of all time, his songs and his name will be one of the first to come up. In addition to being a singer, he has excelled as a producer, actor, broadcaster, composer and businessman.

Now he notes among his talents that he has received God in his heart and that is why his life from now on will be dedicated to the Lord and to spreading his word. He has already taken the first steps and has been well received by other colleagues who have taken the same path. However, this does not erase his mark, successes, dances, choreographies, and the beautiful memories left by an artist who always professed love, optimism in his lyrics and unity because he showed that to shine it is not necessary to overshadow the other.

Daddy dejó un legado, no hay duda que cuando se hable de los creadores o impulsores o las mejores canciones de todos los tiempos, sus canciones y su nombre será uno de los primeros en relucir. Además de cantante, se ha destacado como productor, actor, locutor, compositor y empresario.

Ahora anota entre sus talentos el haber recibido a Dios en su corazón y por eso su vida a partir de ahora la dedicará al señor y a difundir su palabra. Ya los primeros pasos los ha dado teniendo buena aceptación entre otros colegas que han tomado el mismo camino. Sin embargo, esto no borra su huella, éxitos, bailes, coreografías, y los bonito recuerdos que nos deja un artista que siempre profeso amor, optimismo en sus letras y unión porque demostró que para brillar no hace falta opacar al otro.
