TTT: NOSTALGIC BAGPIPES
Hola mis queridos #musiclovers espero que sigan pasando unas maravillosas fiestas como lo estoy haciendo yo contagiada de todo este espíritu navideño. En la ocasión anterior, les comenté sobre la existencia de tres canciones propias de nuestra navidad, donde les dije que la #gaita es un ritmo y sentimiento nacional, por ende, existen muchas canciones que podemos citar para disfrutar en estas fiestas. Terminando la publicación, les comenté que en la gaita se habla de todos los temas: políticas, sociales, amor, desamor, devoción mariana, fe, humor y hasta el doble sentido. En este caso, voy a hablar de tres gaitas nostálgicas. Debo confesar que con ellas, en algún momento he botado alguna lágrima porque son muy sentidas y llegan al corazón, no importa si estamos o no en navidad, así que prepárense a disfrutar y espero que les agrade mucho como a mí. Esta es una canción de protesta social. Y es tan actual como cuando se estrenó hace más de 30 años. La canción habla de cómo se lleva una vida en ese estrato social tan bajo y cómo crece un niño sin la oportunidad de tener acceso aunque sea a una vivienda digna.
La forma como van describiendo la situación eriza la piel, porque no solo hablo de los ranchos (casa de zinc) de mi país, hablo de que en cualquier parte del mundo existe la pobreza y desigualdad.
Los niños no deciden vivir en esas condiciones, de hecho no saben porque nacen así y se preguntan ¿Cuándo comerán? o ¿por qué los otros niños tienen zapatos nuevos y yo no?
Es una canción que toca la fibra de mi ser porque a pesar de ser un problema social y propio del gobierno de brindar protección social a los niños, es cultura de las personas que tengan hijos en esas codiciones deplorables, convirtiéndose en una cadena de escasez, limitaciones y carencias que nacen en ese núcleo y se extiende por generaciones.
Lo bonito de esta gaita es que profesa que a pesar de todo ese panorama, reina el amor, la unión familiar, el respeto, la fe a la chinita (virgen del Zulia), y la esperanza de algún día tener "4 paredes y un techo". A veces también nos perdemos en lo material y no valoramos el esfuerzo de nuestros padres por brindarnos un hogar.
Es una canción de reflexión y conciencia de las condiciones sociales que atraviesan muchas personas en la pobreza.

This is a social protest song. And it is as current as when it was released more than 30 years ago. The song talks about how life is lived in such a low social stratum and how a child grows up without the opportunity to have access to even a decent home.
The way they describe the situation makes your skin crawl, because I'm not just talking about the ranchos (zinc houses) in my country, I'm talking about poverty and inequality anywhere in the world.
Children don't choose to live in those conditions, in fact they don't know why they are born like that and they wonder when will they eat, or why the other children have new shoes and I don't?
It is a song that touches the fibre of my being because despite being a social problem and the government's own problem of providing social protection to children, it is the culture of the people who have children in these deplorable conditions, becoming a chain of scarcity, limitations and shortages that are born in that nucleus and extends for generations.
The beauty of this gaita is that it professes that in spite of all this panorama, love, family union, respect, faith in the chinita (virgin of Zulia), and the hope of one day having "4 walls and a roof" reigns. Sometimes we also get lost in material things and we don't value the effort of our parents to give us a home.
It is a song of reflection and awareness of the social conditions that many people live in poverty.

Al hablar del amor de madre es un amor bonito, puro y sincero. Esta canción es referente cuando se quiere hablar de este amor primitivo y esa conexión que se tiene entre una madre y un hijo.
Las letras de esta canción puede ser aplicada tanto a una mamita viva como a aquella que ya partió al plano celestial. De hecho comienza con la afirmación de "que no hay amor como el de la madre", y tiene razón porque todos la tenemos, la conozcamos o no, ese vínculo que establecemos con ella, es único e irremplazables. Podremos tener muchos amores en la vida, pero como el de la madre ¡Jamás!
A mi me encanta, y espero que coincidan conmigo en que nunca existirán palabras tan bonita para agradecer todo el esfuerzo que hacen día a día hasta el final de los días por darnos lo mejor de ellas.
Algunas no son tan perfectas, otras ni siquiera deberían serlo, pero esta canción es tan bonita que resalta y reconoce los hilos invisibles que nos unen e incluso nos condicionan cómo nos relacionamos con los demás.
Pienso que no debe existir una fecha especial para celebrar y honrar la labor de una madre, pero si estamos en diciembre es momento propicio para reconocer su amor y entrega con nosotros.

When talking about mother's love it is a beautiful, pure and sincere love. This song is a reference when you want to talk about this primitive love and that connection between a mother and a child.
The lyrics of this song can be applied to a living mother as well as to one who has already departed to the heavenly plane. In fact, it begins with the statement that "there is no love like a mother's love", and she is right because we all have it, whether we know her or not, the bond we establish with her is unique and irreplaceable. We can have many loves in life, but there is no love like a mother's. Never!
I love it, and I hope you agree with me that there will never be such beautiful words to thank them for all the effort they make day after day until the end of their days to give us the best of them.
Some are not so perfect, some shouldn't even be, but this song is so beautiful that it highlights and acknowledges the invisible threads that bind us together and even condition how we relate to each other.
I don't think there should be a special date to celebrate and honour the work of a mother, but if it is December, it is the right time to recognise her love and devotion to us.

A mi no me gusta el desamor, en mis publicaciones siempre intento hablar sobre lo importante que es mantener una relación sana y viviendo en amor. Sin embargo, el desamor llega y es una etapa que debemos saber afrontarla.
He escuchado canciones donde se hablan de "rata inmunda, animal rastrero" 🤣😂😅 y se publican cosas en las redes que no dejan nada a la imaginación, contaminando con su ira a todo el que ven a su alrededor.
"Sin rencor" es una canción ciertamente de desamor, de cuando una relación acaba, pero lo hace de una manera tan bonita y tan operativa (un término psicológico que habla de hacerlo de manera sana), que provoca terminar una relación muchas veces ja,ja,ja.
Hablando en serio, la canción inicia con recordar lo bonito que vivieron en la relación, y de cómo poco a poco se fue acabando, pero eso no significa que tenga que hablar mal de esa persona o desearle que la pise un carro, es una manera de honrar esos bonitos momentos vividos, esa relación y mantener en la intimidad los problemas por los cuales terminaron.
Aunque sea una canción de desamor, es nostálgica porque "siempre has de recordar nuestro amor cuando una gaita suena", creo que es el mejor homenaje que se puede hacer para culminar una relación en santa paz.
Como último detalle fue una de las primeras gaitas que aprendí de un cassette que me regaló mi mamá y aunque al principio no la entendía quizás por mi juventud, luego pude comprender toda su letra y su significado.

I don't like heartbreak, in my posts I always try to talk about how important it is to maintain a healthy relationship and live in love. However, heartbreak comes and it is a stage that we must know how to deal with.
I've heard songs where they talk about "filthy rat, crawling animal" 🤣😂😅 and they post things on networks that leave nothing to the imagination, contaminating with their anger everyone they see around them.
"Whitout rancour" is certainly a song about heartbreak, about when a relationship ends, but it does it in such a beautiful way and so operational (a psychological term that talks about doing it in a healthy way), that it provokes to end a relationship many times ha,ha,ha.
Seriously speaking, the song starts with remembering the beautiful things that happened in the relationship, and how little by little it ended, but that doesn't mean that I have to talk bad about that person or wish that they would be stepped on by a car, it is a way to honour those beautiful moments lived, that relationship and to keep in intimacy the problems that caused the end of the relationship.
Although it is a song of heartbreak, it is nostalgic because "you must always remember our love when a bagpipe sounds", I think it is the best tribute that can be made to end a relationship in peace.
Finally, it was one of the first bagpipes I learnt from a cassette that my mother gave me and although at first I didn't understand it, perhaps because of my youth, I was later able to understand all its lyrics and meaning.

Mi favorita es mi ranchito, una gaita muy nostálgica que expresa una situación social presente en muchos sectores de nuestro pais. También resalta el valor de la humildad que no debe confundirse con pobreza. Excelente música Florecita.
