Isn't it amazing how these pieces of music can reach inside and take hold? Music has that ability anyway, but there's something so deep and emotional about classical music. I can only imagine what it must have been like for those people back when these were first composed and performed, people whose world was far more closed than ours is, and how it must have made them feel.

A world without music at our fingertip everywhere and then listening a concert. Must be like watching a firework!
Maybe they made more homemusic themselves. And singing! When was the last time you heard someone simply singing or whistling? 🤔 The only one I remember is an african rubbish man who sometimes sings when they drive by.
Maybe I am wrong, but think some decades ago there was more spontainous singing to hear.
