I enjoy photography as much as I delight in music. It is a magnificent combination, being behind the lens with the active attention to capture the right moment and capture it in a photograph. Musicians are usually so focused on preparing for their concert that many overlook recording their performance.

There are many things together that must be taken into account for music photography, and all of them in parallel, it is the whole configuration of the camera, the lighting, the movement, it is to make the representation of the music frame by frame. In my case, I don't know if it's because of style or some other particularity that I don't know, I try to look for images that can tell the concert, I make portraits to introduce the musicians, show the instruments, I try to make a small visual report, immortalizing the concert.

Getting the right movement, reflecting the emotion of the musicians' favorite song, has its details, the moment passes and does not return. The challenge throughout the concert will always be to search for that image with enough strength to convey what is experienced on stage. Getting a photograph that will be valued over time is the challenge throughout the presentation. To portray the magic of the chords and the rhythm of the music in the photograph is the real challenge.

As the presentation unfolded, they went on a journey through the different musical cultures of America that they have explored as a group. They were chatting about the different themes and telling different anecdotes, a very intimate and peculiarly educational presentation. In the same way they talked about the instruments, how they arrived in Latin America, the populations that practiced with those sounds and the rituals that were performed. It was an educational concert, personally I was very pleased because I was unaware of many aspects of the music from these sides of the world.

The instruments are very organic, made with wood and leather, even with seeds. In spite of this, the traditional Colombian music makes its camouflaged presence in all this, they themselves said that some things were difficult to learn, so they required a lot of practice to achieve fidelity in the execution, both of the instrument and of particular rhythms.
