Basic premise - after the game breaks the fourth wall and one of the characters starters talking to you, the viewer, as a participant -
AI Gen Material Proliferates
Its an information cancer
It is too hard to determine what is real and what is not
Evil gum-ment uses it to socially control the masses
Crafted narratives and "Fake wars" etc (proxy wars)
Etc, at least that's the bit I got out of MGS2, otherwise its a stealth action game about trying to stop cold war era nuclear proliferation and BIG ASS MECHS that can fire nukes but are also agile as a kangaroo or something from Neon Genesis Evangellion.
