IGM PROJECT #4

in Music3 years ago (edited)

Hello ‌‌ all friends. This is the fourth part of my story from the IGM project that I am sharing here. As usual, I apologize to you first because the translation of this text may not have been done correctly. Because my main language is Persian and I use an online translator to translate my writings into English.
In the previous section, I introduced Mahyar Enbir to you. Meeting him was a special and lasting memory for me and IGM.
As I said before, I started my activity as a music magazine as a symbolic movement to protest the performance of the existing media in covering independent musicians, especially in the rock and metal genres. In the sense that I believed that a media in general Those who work in the field of music should be able to find a way to provide the funding they need. A way other than taking money directly from musicians. An idea that can be used to attract audiences while publishing the works of musicians, so that they can attract sponsors and sponsors for the media. It is difficult to do this in a free world and under normal conditions, Now imagine how this should be done in the current situation in Iran, where the activity in the field of music is faced with many restrictions by government laws and even acceptance in society!.

Despite these problems, I have always believed that doing so is difficult but possible. But it seemed unbelievable to say such things in these days and conditions for the musicians I tried to communicate with, and many did not believe that I was going to identify and try Iranian musicians for free and independently without financial incentive. Introduce and promote them as much as I can. Sometimes I get answers that seem like I'm trying to fool them, and that's all part of my long-term plan to cheat! It was very strange to me why it should be so that the level of trust in society is so low and people do not even have the ability to understand the truth and potentially consider someone like me a scammer unless I can prove it is not!
In such an atmosphere, the presence of people like Mahyar who believed in me and supported me was very valuable to me and an incentive to keep working.
One day, Mahyar said to me: Younes, you are reminding me of Vaio! Vayo or the same as Vahuman. I, who did not know anything about this name until now, was interested to see what metaphor exists in Mahyar's mind. With the first search, I found this photo and a little explanation about it. It was very interesting for me. I felt a deep twin with this character. It was as if I was exactly him. With a mood that is not acceptable in today's world and is closer to the pain of antiquity and the life of this character than the modern world today! Especially with the presence of that dog in the photo next to Vaio, I felt closer to him.
I discussed this issue enthusiastically. Shakib was a friend of mysticism. My guitar teacher I talked about in the first part of the story. Erfan introduced Shakib to me and said that he is a good designer. It would be better for him to help me design a special logo for myself.
Shakib also used the summary of all the stories I told him in the first IGM logo design. The character of a person from the ancient world who was very interested in dogs. In addition, an eye that is placed in the logo in such a way that every viewer first asks who is this eye?
In fact, it was my own eye and it originated from the slogan that I said see the world of music through the eyes of IGM.

And the double guitar, which is attached to the back of this character as a weapon, refers to the nature of my activities in the form of a music magazine, which is a protest movement for music and gaining the right to freedom of expression for musicians and musicians in protest of the ban on public concerts. Broadcasting music and musicians on the national television of Iran and all media in general. A fight whose weapon is guitar and whose ammunition is music.

Vaio is an ancient goddess related to the ancient history of the land of Persia, who is mentioned as a supporter of rights and the fight against evil in ancient texts, and thus this character became a constant design pattern of IGM-related artworks.

Since then, Shakib has been working with us as the main designer and we have done many projects together and here I would like to thank Shakib for his presence in IGM. He was the first IGM member after myself.

Before introducing another of my guitarist friends who was one of the first interviewees in the IGM project, one thing I want to say is that if you want to collaborate with any of the artists I introduce here in my writing, be sure to let me know so that I will negotiate with them on your behalf. It is possible to carry out joint art projects with each of them, and I am sure that together we can do special international projects.
The artist I want to introduce to you today is Farazan Esfahani. A young guitarist and a new generation of Iranian shredders. With his exemplary technique and speed, he has been able to attract a lot of attention among professional guitarists in Iran. He also recently released his first official single. I suggest you visit his Instagram and YouTube page for more information.
