Hi everyone!
Today I want to present another album signed by a band from Cesena. This time we are oriented towards more desert sounds that transport us spiritually to remote places, the album in question is: "Dead Dance" - OPEZ (2015).
I always like to report this description about OPEZ: "Electrocuted bulbs, out-of-tune turntables, long dark shadows and an eternal sunset. A sound of wood and strings that of Opez, melancholic, sultry, thirsty; they travel in the void to be filled, made of hot wind, dust and silence."
The duo formed by Massi Amadori (Guitar) and Francesco Tappi (Double Bass) released their first album "Dead Dance" in 2015 for the German label Agogo and sees the collaboration on drums of Diego Sapignoli (Sacri Cuori). Undoubtedly this is one of the bands from our province that has received more attention from the international audience, after all I feel like adding that the musicians in question are truly admirable.
Moreover, the complete project includes a very special live show that manages to mix the deep sound of this band with the illustrations (drawn in real time) of the artist Aimone Marziali, an illustrated translation of this musical journey.
I won't give you a detailed description of the songs, but I will leave you with the video clip of their single "Carlos Primero", I think this record is a great listen from which you should let yourself be carried away. Further down you will find links to playlists and insights.

EDIT: What a shame they only have 1 album out. Did they create more but distributed through other services other than Spotify? Or under different names?
Hi and thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed this record. At the moment I know for sure that Massimiliano is working on a new album, but I don't know if the line-up is still the same. For now there are no other publications by OPEZ but we can find these artists in many other projects. In the next posts I will deal with some of those musical projects that are very related with OPEZ, for example the already mentioned Sacri Cuori and a very exceptional project called Soundido 😊
Owwww Owwww my Spotify may start hating me with so many new entries marked. 😄 I understand you but the curiosity and desire to write about these bands will push me to be productive 🤣 however I alternate music posts with others about gaming and other topics, so there will be longer or shorter intervals between posts 😉
