Hello friends, good vibes to all.
Today and as every first day of each month I come with some of the premieres that have seen the light in the past month of June. As you know the music does not stop so the amount of releases is gigantic hence my job is to choose the ones I like the most and also a little bit those that I consider that are being more sounded in the different music platforms. Although the latter is easy to discover just by looking at the reproductions, many times this does not guarantee absolute success. What does seem to be more complicated is the choice because we are seeing a phenomenon that I think I told you about at a certain time.
The pandemic I'm sure paused many projects and songs that artists had in mind, hence the fact that for some time now we are seeing a constant bombardment of music coming out week after week of all possible styles and genres. To the point that I used to publish this post every two months but the flow of content is so great that it was becoming a very difficult task. So I decided to see and hear us monthly so today's list is as follows...
- Beyoncé - Break my Soul
Beyoncé returned and did it in style with a song that I recommend listening to with headphones on. She hadn't released any new music for almost a year and with a whole movement in social networks, which is what moves the world and is the best way to do marketing today, she announced the release of this new single. In just over two weeks it has already surpassed fourteen million plays, not even close to his best numbers but we have to give it time. This song is specifically seems to be the first of his new album and tells us a little of the burden that some people can live thanks to other people in their day to day until you decide to take action and understand that first is one and then others. A very motivational theme with an incredible base, I think that's what I like the most, hence what I said at the beginning, to put on the headphones and listen to it while we exercise. Good song from one of the queens of Pop.
- VILLANO ANTILLANO || BZRP Music Sessions #51
An important phenomenon happens here. Those of us who follow Bizarrap know that their sessions are brutal, some are better than others, but when the artists are "unknown" they always surprise us more. The beat and the base, a recurring theme from what I see, of this song is crazy, it's one of those that even if you don't like the genre will move you out of your chair (another track that I recommend to put on your headphones). For those who don't know this Argentinean artist, he is a great music producer, one of the best on the planet today and only 23 years old. There are many good sessions but this one was released in June and the truth is one of the ones that catches my attention even though it doesn't have important numbers. I don't want to think that it's because of an extra musical issue, because yes, at the time of the premiere a few people talked about Villano Antillano too much, something that nowadays seems silly and senseless to me, but well. If you notice Villana handles the lyrics very well, uses good phrases and is no newcomer in this world even though she is a little unknown, until before this session. I repeat, one of the best beats I've ever heard.
- Camilo, Alejandro Sanz - NASA
I have to confess that I am not a big fan of Camilo but I also have to admit that this joint or featuring is very good, the fact that it was Alejandro Sanz gives a big plus to the fact that he chose it. It is a song that talks about the distrust and insecurities that a person can live based on bad experiences and past relationships, those ghosts that often linger in our minds and do not let us see what is in front of us. A very nice and heartfelt theme that in the voice of these two singers sounds great in principle by the contrast in the tones of each. Alejandro Sanz is what he is, I think there is no need to praise him more, but Camilo I am aware of how good a musician and composer he is, besides the fact that he always sings in tune, you have to listen to him live to hear him well. And in spite of all that, he is not one of my favorite singers, but well, when you have to recognize things, you do it without any problem. Good song, one of the best releases of the month.
- Black Eyed Peas, Shakira, David Guetta - DON'T YOU WORRY
Three things. The first is that we are in another list where David Guetta makes an appearance, with him applies the fact that despite the genre when you become so relevant and important to the music will always call you for collaborations. The second thing is that despite all the time that passes Shakira is still an icon of music and not only Latin but worldwide, has a career of over 25 years and still sounds as if time had not passed, I still miss the Shakira of those times, the rocker and bohemian "barefoot" but we all know that will not return. And the third thing is that Black Eyed Peas, in spite of the time, are still getting to the top as best they can. They are not even the shadow of what they were 15 years ago when Fergie belonged to the group but I repeat, as they can they are adapting and in that process they are still sounding. This is a moving song, typical of Guetta's beats with the Black Eyed Peas style that goes very much hand in hand with Will.i.am. I stopped being a fan of them a long time ago but with these tracks you kind of go back to 2005/2010. Pure nostalgia.
- Imagine Dragons - Sharks
The big surprise of this list. Imagine Dragons, true to their style, release an incredibly moving and catchy song. When I discovered it I couldn't get it out of my head for a while, it has a melody that sticks between your eyebrows and a lyric that is not my deepest but that talks a little about the fact that appearances are deceiving, that you have to be careful with who you get together with because in the end they can turn out to be very different people. Without knowing it and getting to this last song it seems that I focus a little on everything that has to do with the bases of the songs and that they are very moving, this is another example of it. While it is true and as I said it is something that is very common in this American band, it never ceased to surprise me. They are those songs that may seem very generic but for some strange reason always end up liking a lot; before I listened to them a little more often than now because in the end tastes change but I don't know, this song made me want to return to this group, and more so now that they released a new album. That's why you always have to listen to the new releases, we never know what we are going to find and what they are going to remind us of.
A list that took me quite a while to put together but in the end it was achieved. We will have to wait one more month to see what surprises us this July, which if it is like the previous one is synonymous of a lot of music for our ears.
