Fear of the Dark by Iron Maiden (Writing Contest)

It was 1998. I remember being about 15 years old and learning to play the guitar, when I came across an Iron Maiden Live After Dead CD, an album of their most iconic live songs. I remember hearing the guitar intro, "Fear of the Dark," and immediately identifying with it, I wanted to learn it on the electric guitar my parents had just given me for my birthday. Upon hearing it for the first time, I knew it had something special about it, an atmosphere of mystery and darkness that was perfectly captured in the lyrics. The unison guitars and melodies fit perfectly with the bass, which, along with the drums, drove the rhythm of a song that was already a classic for the band and worked perfectly live with the audience's sung choruses.

I have to thank @wiseagent for having the initiative to create this great contest for everyone in the Hive music community and for continuing to support rock in all its styles.

Era el año 1998 recuerdo que tenía yo unos 15 años y estaba aprendiendo a tocar la guitarra, cuando a mis manos llegó un cd de Iron Maiden Live After Dead un álbum de sus temas más representativos en vivo. Fear Of The Dark una de esas canciones recuerdo que al escuchar el intro de guitarra rápidamente me identifique con ella y de inmediato quise aprenderla en la guitarra eléctrica que recién mis padres me habían regalado de cumpleaños. La canción al escucharla por primera vez supe que tenía algo especial de las otras, una atmósfera de misterio y oscuridad que quedaba plasmado perfectamente en la letra del tema. Las guitarras al unisono y las melodías encajaban con el bajo que junto a la batería comandaban el ritmo de una canción que ya era una clásico de la banda y que funcionaba perfectamente en directo con los coros cantados por el público.

Tengo que agradecerle a @wiseagent por tener la iniciativa de crear este genial concurso para todos en la comunidad de music en Hive y seguir apoyando el rock en todos sus estilos.

Wow, Fear Of The Dark was one of my favourite song from Iron Maiden... It is still in my playlist despite I don't listen Iron Maiden in these days.
