I like listening to covers sometimes, just a new spin on the old song. Many are much better than the originals as you say. Thanks for the curation, I always appreciate it.
Cover songs always a little cheat as original musicians had to hold their breath and see what was going to stick with audience. Bands copying know the result before they start collaborating possibly varying ever so slightly.
