Saludos apreciada comunidad de Hive, hoy les traigo un aguinaldo serrano del Estado Falcón que está ubicado al norte de Venezuela, limita con el Golfo y con el Mar Caribe, posee paisajes extraordinarios, vistos desde la Sierra, parte más alta y montañosa de ese estado.
Greetings dear Hive community, today I bring you a mountain aguinaldo from Falcon State, which is located in the north of Venezuela, bordering the Gulf and the Caribbean Sea, has extraordinary landscapes, seen from the Sierra, the highest and most mountainous part of the state.
El aguinaldo Serrano, es un género de la Sierra del Estado Falcón, Venezuela.
Generalmente, se ejecuta con violín, pandero, furro, maracas, baterías de instrumentos de cuerdas, aparte, se canta con estrofas de cuatro versos hexasílabos, alternando en parejas a dos voces, donde los cantores de la zona de Falcón le han incorporado el lamento al final de algunas frases, cantan una especie de ayay o gemido realizado por algún cantor como acompañamiento, estos siempre están relacionados con el nacimiento del Niño Jesús en el mes de diciembre.
La primera vez que lo escuché el Aguinaldo Serrano, fue del Maestro Ismael Querales y el Prof. Daniel Gil, año 1992 en los Talleres de la Fundación Bigott, ubicados en Zona Rental, Caracasñ. Asimismo, Cecilia Tood hizo una excelente versión de este aguinaldo que grabó y dio a conocer en el disco "Una sola vida tengo", aparte, lo pude apreciar más adelante en eventos de la Agrupación Folclórica CONVENEZUELA, dirigida por el Maestro Oswaldo Lares y Ricardo Sandoval, quienes explicaban de forma didáctica el origen y forma de cantar el Aguinaldo Serrano.
Aparte, les cuento algunas vivencias que he tenido durante la navidad, siendo esta una de las épocas más hermosas del año, en mi familia por tradición siempre le cantamos al niño Jesús y visitamos varias comunidades colaborando con las parrandas por ejemplo en Barrio Sucre, 23 de Enero, donde nos reunimos cada año invitados por la Sra. Omaira Mijares y su familia para cantarle al Niño Jesús. Es un privilegio tener aquí en la ciudad de Caracas, la tradición de cantar la diversidad de géneros del occidente del país, en especial los Estribillos y Aguinaldos que vienen desde el Estado Falcón, y definitivamente, el Aguinaldo Serrano llega para quedarse entre nosotros.
Por otra parte, me contaba la abuela Leonor Mendoza que existen algunas creencias en los pueblos de Venezuela, de quien hace un nacimiento o pesebre por primera vez, tiene que seguir haciéndolo durante siete años ininterrumpidos, contado por mi abuela Leonor Mendoza, siendo una forma de tener abundancia y prosperidad en los años venideros y anunciando la llegada del niño Jesús.
Así transcurro la navidad en Venezuela, cantando y disfrutando de la música tradicional con algunos grupos de proyección y en ocasiones con la gente del pueblo cuando podía viajar a Valencia, Barquisimeto o Paraguaná, donde se ve la devoción de los cantos al niño Jesús, cultores que dan lo mejor de ellos dando continuidad a la historia musical del país para mantener la identidad. Actualmente, debido a situación pandemia no me es tan fácil viajar, sin embargo, tengo esperanzas de organizarme más adelante para hacer el contacto directo con los cultores de distintos pueblos del estado Falcón y el resto del país.
The aguinaldo Serrano, is a genre of the Sierra of Falcon State, Venezuela.

This is how I spent Christmas in Venezuela, singing and enjoying the traditional music with some groups of projection and sometimes with the people of the town when I could travel to Valencia, Barquisimeto or Paraguaná, where you can see the devotion of the songs to the baby Jesus, cultors who give the best of them giving continuity to the musical history of the country to maintain the identity. Currently, due to the pandemic situation it is not so easy for me to travel, however, I hope to organize myself later to make direct contact with the cultors of different towns in Falcón state and the rest of the country.
