The Power of Instrumental Music to Convey Emotions | “My Way”
Today I want to share something very special to me: a reflection on how instrumental music can speak to us without saying a single word, accompanied by my interpretation of the iconic song “My Way” on flute.
Music has been my most sincere way of communicating with the world. Sometimes I struggle to put what I feel into words, but when I play, everything flows. I firmly believe that instrumental music has the power to touch our souls, to take us to an inner place where emotions live unfiltered.
I chose “My Way” because it's a song that has transcended generations. It was popularized by Frank Sinatra and originally adapted into English by Paul Anka. It's a song that talks about living life on your own terms, about being true to yourself. Although it has lyrics, its melody alone tells a profound story of reflection, pride, struggle, and acceptance.
In this instrumental version with flute, I wanted to convey that same emotion without the need for words. Every note I play seeks to convey the nostalgia of what I've experienced, the strength of the decisions I've made, and the peace of knowing you did everything your way.
During the recording of this video, I focused a lot on every expression, every technical and emotional detail, and every intimate moment of performance, so that you can connect with me not only as a musician, but as a person.
Performing this song was both challenging and satisfying. I hope you can feel the same way I felt playing it.

El poder de la música instrumental para transmitir emociones | “My Way”
Hoy quiero compartir algo muy especial para mí: una reflexión sobre cómo la música instrumental puede hablarnos sin decir una sola palabra, acompañada de mi interpretación de la icónica canción My Way en flauta.
La música ha sido mi forma más sincera de comunicarme con el mundo. A veces me cuesta poner en palabras lo que siento, pero cuando toco, todo fluye. Creo firmemente que la música instrumental tiene el poder de tocarnos el alma, de llevarnos a un lugar interno donde las emociones viven sin filtros.
Escogí My Way porque es una canción que ha trascendido generaciones. Fue popularizada por Frank Sinatra y originalmente adaptada al inglés por Paul Anka. Es una canción que habla de vivir la vida bajo tus propios términos, de ser fiel a uno mismo. Aunque tiene letra, su melodía por sí sola cuenta una historia profunda de reflexión, orgullo, lucha y aceptación.
En esta versión instrumental con flauta, quise llevar esa misma emoción sin necesidad de palabras. Cada nota que toco busca transmitir la nostalgia de lo vivido, la fuerza de las decisiones tomadas y la paz de saber que todo lo hiciste a tu manera.
Durante la grabación de este video, me enfoqué mucho en cada expresión, en cada detalle técnico , emocional, momentos íntimos de ejecución, para que puedan conectar conmigo no solo como músico, sino como persona.
Interpretar esta canción fue un reto y una satisfacción. Espero que puedan sentir lo mismo que yo sentí al tocarla.
