Well, parents are key to the education of our musical taste. Mine would not allow us to play much music at home. We were six kids making all kinds of noise in a small house; silence was/is a family value. But I did get to "play with" the strings of a cuatro my eldest sister was learning to play, and I also played my little toy piano by ear, never by reading; I didn't know how. I might learn to play the guitar some day when I don't have to work two jobs--and a half. I think I'm too old for piano already. I should learn to play whatever musical instrument when I have the time. My son's guitar is hanging on the wall; he had to leave it when he left the country... Should I have the skill and patience.

The guitar is a good instrument and a little more easy to get than a piano I guess. It's a good option.
