En una publicación anterior me refería a la música escrita por Ludwig van Beethoven y su influencia en la actualidad, y uno de los ejemplos que logro cautivarme por su genialidad y virtuosismo fue la interpretación de la sonata para piano N° 8, (conocida como La Patética), por parte de un grupo de jazz progresivo denominado The Trio Project. Todos unos virtuosos en sus instrumentos, pero quede prendado de su pianista Hiromi Uehara. De antemano me disculpo por la omisión de algunas obras musicales de esta interesante artista.

En la ciudad de Shizouka en Japón en el año 1979, nace Hiromi Uehara, pianista y compositora de jazz que ha logrado que nuevas generaciones logren interesarse por el Jazz.
Su forma enérgica de combinar y ejecutar géneros tales como la música clásica, el rock progresivo, y la música de fusión la convierten en una obligada referencia musical cuando se habla del espectro pianístico en el siglo XXI.
Generalmente, sus instrumentos son un piano de cola Yamaha CFIII-S, un sintetizador digital Nord Lead 2, un piano eléctrico portátil Clavia Nord Electro 2 73 y un sintetizador Korg microKORG.4.
A los 6 años comienza a tocar el piano y a estudiar composición en la Yamaha Music School. Para el año de 1999, empieza sus estudios en la Berklee College of Music de Boston.
En 2003 hizo su debut mundial, con el lanzamiento de “Another Mind” para el sello Telarc, producido por dos grandes artistas del jazz Ahmad Jamal (pianista) y Richard Evans (bajista).

En el año de 2006, comienza un proyecto musical de nombre Hiromi’s Sonicbloom: Time Control con David Fiuczynski en las guitarras, Tony Grey en el bajo y Martin Valihora en la batería.

En el año 2019 lanza un espectacular álbum en solitario llamado Spectrum del cual se utiliza el tema homónimo en la inauguración de los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio en 2020.

Ya en septiembre del 2021 de ella conoceremos el álbum Silver Lining Suite con un grupo denominado The Piano Quintet compuesto de dos violinistas: Tatsuo Nishie, Sohei Birmann, una viola Viola, y un Cello: Wataru Mukai, con Hiromi como compositora, arreglista, letrista y pianista.

Estas representaciones musicales son simplemente espectaculares, soy fanático del rock y del rock progresivo en especial. Me recuerdo al ver las representaciones de Hiromi a las actuaciones Keith Emerson y hasta a Jerry Lee Lewis.
Me declaro fan desde este momento de Hiromi Uehara, su ingenio, su estilo, su energía sus proyectos musicales, sus presentaciones en vivo sus espectaculares y virtuosos acompañantes todo deslumbra!.

These musical performances are simply spectacular, I am a fan of rock and progressive rock in particular. I am reminded when watching Hiromi's performances of Keith Emerson and even Jerry Lee Lewis.
From this moment I declare myself a fan of Hiromi Uehara, her wit, her style, her energy, her musical projects, her live performances, her spectacular and virtuous accompanists, everything dazzles!
