I decided it would be great to have a smaller Travel guitar to take on road trips, camping etc etc.... one that I could throw in the car or canoe and have to join in at the Bonfire.
I love the sound of the 3/4 Martins and a few others but they start at around $400. I found the Yamaha JR1 3/4 Acoustic on Amazon for around $123 USD ($199 Cdn) and thought I would give it a try.

At the moment I only play a few chords, enough to join in on the Campfire Standards .... Quartermaster’s Store, Hole in the Bottom of the Sea, Found a Peanut, She’ll be Comin round the Mountain, My Bonnie lies over the Ocean, Jumped from 40,000 feet (forgot to pull the chord), and a few 3 Chord Johnny Cash Tunes.
My son wanted to learn to play and this one is pretty easy to get a nice crisp chord.
We will learn some songs on Chordie and post to our YouTube Channel and here on Hive.
