Greetings, my friends!
August 4-th has come, which means that it's time to read another article of "A day in the history of rock music". On this day, there were many events connected (of course) with the birth of musicians (Max Cavalera, Louis Armstrong, Stefan Kaufmann). Events that were remembered by the release of music albums, singles, concerts and other events. I offer your attention a small selection under the heading "ON THIS DAY...". Enjoy!
On August 4, 1966, American radio stations stopped including "The Beatles" compositions in their music program due to the band's ban.
Exactly fourteen years later, in 1980, John Lennon began recording his last album. In the future, the studio work will be called John & Yoko - "Double Fantasy". The work was recorded together with the musician's wife Yoko Ono.
And in 1967, the legendary Pink Floyd broke into the music industry with the debut work "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn". According to the influential magazine Rolling Stone, this studio album is on the list of "500 Greatest Albums of All Time". Although... it may be difficult for an untrained listener to endure this psychedelic the first time. Everyone's musical tastes are different.
On August 4, 1975, the debut album "Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow" was released. After all, all fans of rock music and music lovers know a band called Rainbow. I love this record.
At the same time, Robert Plant, known as the vocalist of Led Zeppelin, gets into a car accident. It happened on the Greek island of Rhodes, when the musician was on vacation with his wife and children. Fortunately, all members of the family remained alive, having suffered fractures and numerous bruises. Later, Plant began recording Led Zeppelin album called "Presence" in a wheelchair.
Back in the 80th year, on this day, the British band Motorhead started recording their most famous brainchild - the studio "Ace of Spades". Great energy on the record.
By the way, on this day in 2009, Iowa band Slipknot took two awards from** Kerrang!**. The first award was given to the band for the best concert performance. Also, according to the magazine, the musicians became the best international band of the year. Then masked metalheads managed to beat Metallica, Green Day, Lamb Of God and others. However, it must be admitted that Slipknot always knew how to make their concert an unforgettable show, so, I think, the choice of the magazine and the listeners is fully justified.

У цей день відбулося чимало подій, пов'язаних (звичайно) з народженням музикантів (Макс Кавалера, Луї Армстронг, Stefan Kaufmann). Подій, які запам'яталися виходом музичних альбомів, синглів, концертів та інших заходів. Пропоную до вашої уваги невелику добірку в рамках рубрики «ON THIS DAY...» та бажаю приємного ознайомлення.

Також за версією журналу музиканти стали найкращим міжнародним гуртом року. Тоді металісти в масках зуміли обійти Metallica, Green Day, Lamb Of God і інших. Втім, слід визнати, що Slipknot завжди знали, як зробити зі свого концерту незабутнє шоу, тож, вважаю, вибір журналу та слухачів цілком виправданий.
