Emma-Jean Thackray - Yang
She has been described by RBMA as "one of the UK's most exciting new jazz artists". They were not mistaken. I came across her coincidentally, as usual, I clicked on the link somewhere. She works as an arranger, music director, educator, soloist, and as a bandleader with her Walrus quintet. Connoisseurs say she will be one of the biggest names in jazz. If you follow the news in Nu-jazz, itβs worth listening to.

Arab Strap - The Turning of Our Bones
This modernist-horror story by a Scottish indie electro-acoustic band focuses on drink, drugs, and of course sexuality. The video is interesting, a collage of B-horror movies from the sixties, and in the foreground is a vocal, a recitation, based on a likable more instrumental Victorian melody.

Kevin Morby - Harlem River
This is probably not an alter piece (given the number of views on YT) but it definitely deserves to be remembered. The musical atmosphere that storyteller Kevin Morby presents to us deserves to be listened to in terms of musical virtuosity.
