The Black Keys - All My Life
I'll start with a song by The Black Keys, from their new album, their 13th in a row, No Rain No Flowers, released in August this year. A couple of weeks ago I mentioned Man On A Mission, a pure classic in their style, but this is different.
All My Life is a reflection of someone's whole life in a funk and disco groove style with great sound and production.
Ciลnienie - Gilotyna
Ciลnienie is a Polish band from Katowice, formed in 2017, and has released 4 albums so far. Ciลnienie means "pressure" in English, and in this context, it refers to loud and noisy music that is worth paying attention to.
They create a broad sonic spectrum of instrumental music with elements of classical, jazz, rock, and metal, experimentation, and avant-garde.
The song Gilotyna is one of four on the album, the shortest. You can download the album for free (name your price).
It's definitely worth listening to their advice:
This album is designed to be played loud. Listen to it as loud as you can, or as loud as you are allowed.
New name for me, but I'll follow them going forward.
Sanam - Harik
Sanam is a Lebanese band from Beirut, formed in 2021. They have released three albums, most recently Sametou Sawtan, at the end of September this year. The sound of this band is hybrid, coming from different musical backgrounds: free jazz, experimental rock, and Arabic folk songs. These influences merge into free rock and post-folk music.
The song Harik is the introduction to the album, a hypnotic free rock rhythm that speaks of endless fire, leaving for war, and the longing for stability.
THE VINTAGE CARAVAN - Riot
The Vintage Caravan is an Icelandic rock band that has been active for over twenty years and has released six albums. The last one, Portals, was released two weeks ago.
A new name for me, I had never listened to them until I came across them this week.
Energetic guitar rock with riffs that go fast in the ears of fans of this sound will not disappoint.
Geese - Trinidad
Geese is an American band from New York. They have released several EPs and four albums. Their latest album, Getting Killed, released in September this year, has caught the attention of critics and listeners alike and is reportedly one of the best albums released this year. The music is very varied, ranging from post-punk and jazzy spots to cacophony, sonic distortions, and art rock.
The song Trinidad contains all of the above. I recommend the whole album.
Rochelle Jordan - Ladida
Rochelle Jordan is a Canadian singer of Jamaican roots, based in Toronto since 2011, with two EPs and three albums to date, most recently Through The Wall, released three weeks ago.
With her third album, she's also looking for her place under the musical sun, and she's slowly climbing.
She has been called the 'diva of the after-hours'. Dance pop music, with influences of disco and hip hop, is very suitable for fans of this kind of sound.
Wednesday - Reality TV Argument Bleeds
Wednesday is an American band from North Carolina, formed in 2017. They have released six studio albums to date, with their latest being Bleeds, released two weeks ago. They fall somewhere between shoegaze, indie, country, and alternative rock, with lyrics by singer and guitarist Karly Haltzman that explore the difficulties in life and love.
Reality TV Argument Bleeds is the opening song on the album, intense, noisy, and introspective, a mosaic of everyday absurdities and personal struggle.
Megadeth - Tipping Point
Finally, the latest song from American thrash/heavy metal veterans Megadeth, "Tipping Point," announces the release of their album, set for January next year.
They started advertising early, but don't worry, there's a mighty machine behind the scenes to take care of all fans of the genre and the band in time. Already over a million views on YT.
๐ถThat's all for today, and enjoy your weekend with new songs!

I'll briefly switch to the subjunctive.
Music should, could, or ought to always have something to do with aesthetics. But I now know for certain that it can also be quite challenging for the stomach.
Rochelle Jorden comes across almost like a healing balm.
The Black Keys have put better ideas on the sheet music in the past.
So I'll finish with one of those phrases that are very popular in the comments: a very interesting selection this week.๐
I guess that's true when it comes to world-class music. But when you've been in the underground for years, you know that's not always the case. There is more anger, rage, and despair at its base level.
Great finish with Megadeath, what a great band! Very cool song as well, they have been prolific over the years. The Black Keys just keep producing some great songs, I like that tune, kind of funky but a nice to it. I've always like them as a band! The Vintage Caravan and Geese were interesting, some cool stuff in there today! Great job!
