How Important is it to be Locally Famous as a Musician?

🤔The city or region you live in is a special place. The majority of your personality, habits, values, and connections have been formed in this specific piece of land.

Yet, is it mandatory to become locally known first to receive national or international recognition? As always, truth is in the middle, so we are going to cover several perspectives.

Why Most People Prefer to Grow Locally First

🎤In firstsight, getting heard in your area sound easier, especially in the beginning. Yet, in today's world with all the technical possibilities we have, this step can be skipped.

All the energy you put in growing locally can be used for promoting yourself nationwide or even worldwide.

The thing is that people on the other side of the planet have relatively similar values as people in your region. Of course, there are cultural differences, but people from both places value love, family, growth, fun, success, etc.

📖 So if you are representing what you stand for in music, people will relate for sure (that happens only if you deliver it appropriately - good voice delivery, mix, master, and lyrics).

The Biggest Reasons You Are Probably Scared of Fame

From what I have seen so far, the biggest reason people don't want to expand outside their local fanbase is because of a lack of confidence in their craft.

If you truly believe your words and music matter, you will sound more confident - this is a must for you to gain authority in the eyes of people.

‼️This leads to a lack of motivation, which also leads to a lack of knowledge. And obviously, without knowledge, we can't level up even slightly.

Character is significant in music - different art is done by different characters. Stand behind your values and be proud of them no matter what others think!
