Well said. Music has to keep evolving or it gets stale. That can be a challenge, but it's the core of art.
I am experimenting with the Yamaha EAD10 that I just got. I could do various things with triggers on that as well as using the effects. The main requirement was just to get decent recordings and it does that well.

It is a great piece or hardware. I was thinking to buy that too. I can use the small Pearl Midtown and make it sound like a John Bonham Ludwig.
Unfortunately the bass drum trigger is not working with my kit and it seems others have issues with it too. I am looking at options, but the triggering was not a priority for me. The unit can do so much and I hope to explore that.
Not good. Triggering a smaLl bass drum would have been be fun.
