in Music20 hours ago (edited)

I sm a December child, my birthday was a few days ago, snd love the renewal energy of the year ending snd the seasons shifting. Today, 21st is the shortest day and sun snd light is reborn, and hopefully myself. Trying to make a comeback to music and reignite next year.

Above: new 2024 for my song The Lingering Light. It was made using a collage of pictures taken during the filming of the music video and overpainted as an illustration. ps. It's neither AI nor a drawing but a composited overpainted photography. The lock is my vintage closet and the ruins Guendulain castle in Navarre, Spain.

BLESSED YULE and the meaning of Yule Candles

Yule (midwinter or Winter's solstice is the longest night of the year) but after it the light returns slowly in longer days. In many countries a candle is placed on the window to guide the spirits back home (later on in Ireland it's said to guide the holy family to safety and an universal symbol of safe shelter) but yule candles represent the return of the sun (same as burning logs). I hope this "candle magic" incantation remind you to hold on to the lingering light that is once more reborn. Also staring at the flickering flame of a candle in Yule is believed to let you foersee if you'll have a bountiful new year. And that I wish to all of you.

Video is my own song "the lingering light" about a dim candle to help you navigate through the darkness, it's also on all streaming on Spotify. I had made the video before, but the song released recently on streaming platforms. Why did I choose this 2021 song to start updating all my back catalogue, because I hope to rekindle.

Amidst the long winter nights, a candle's flame becomes a beacon of hope, a reminder that even in the darkest times, light persists. 🕯 Embrace the magic of "The lingering light" and let it guide you through the dark

In many Legends staring at the flame of a candle during the winter solstice will help you to foretell if you're 2025 will be bountiful. This song is not only about the light in the dark but also about unlocking. I feel like if I hold the key but we're unable to open the gates because it was just wandering in the dark. Under need to open those doors to move on and a step up to a new level. I'm holding on to my lingering light.

It was a very strange year for me health-wise. I have been a slow for quite a while now as you can guess by my scarce posting. But I am not idle or procrastinating. I have been healing in so many ways

I say I'm not religious for me tonight is the close of the circle. The time I renew my resolutions. Tomorrow the light will start returning a longer days. For me this is so symbolic.

I have felt like a dim flicker in the dark, faint but refusing to go out.

Back to streaming services after an hiatus of two years

I would be deeply honored if you could follow me on Spotify or streaming services and I'm going to give it a try. Some of the songs are only on YouTube and will be up there for the first time but there is plenty of new songs from the way as well.

So grateful if you follow me on Spotify or any other streaming service and if you have my music into your playlist. I haven't released music on Spotify for 2 years.

I'm always in awe of your art. You have a gift for creating an atmosphere. I am not at all religious, but I can still be moved.

Enjoy whatever festivals you celebrate and I wish you all the best for 2025.

I am not religious either. Yule is not Christmas though both celebrations root on the same thing, the shortest day is over and now on "light" is reborn in longer days. Evergreen in yule symbolizes growth to come. In all Yule is just the celebration that brighter warmer days are ahead. Nature's wisdom.

And thank you. It was a tough year, looking forward to new "beginnings"
