A warm greeting to everyone in this beautiful #Music community. I am pleased to share my trumpet rendition of "Slipping Through My Fingers", a pop ballad composed by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. The song came about when Björn watched his seven-year-old daughter Linda as she went off to school, feeling that time was slipping through his fingers. I’ve recently heard it in many videos on my social media, and this piece has a touching, nostalgic quality. I love ABBA; they were one of those groups that, along with The Beatles and the Bee Gees, formed a trio in my musical tastes during childhood. Surely, you also remember it from the musical Mamma Mia (1999). This piece is in the key of A major, and in my case, I play it in G major. The tempo is moderate, with a reflective rhythm in a 4/4 time signature.

Tengo el agrado de compartir mi interpretación con la trompeta de «Slipping Through My Fingers», una balada pop compuesta por Benny Andersson y Björn Ulvaeus. La canción surgió cuando Björn observaba a su hija Linda, de siete años, mientras ella se iba a la escuela, el sintió que el tiempo se le escapaba entre los dedos. Recientemente la he escuchado en muchos videos en mis redes, y es que esta pieza tiene una carga nostálgica conmovedora. Me encanta ABBA, era uno de esos grupos que, junto a los Beatles, y los Bee Gees formaban una triada en mis gustos musicales durante mi niñez. Seguramente también la recordaran en el musical Mamma Mia (1999). Esta pieza se encuentra en la tonalidad de A mayor y en mi caso la interpreto en G mayor. El tempo es moderado con un ritmo reflexivo con una cifra indicadora de compas de 4/4.
If there is one thing I have learned, it is that it’s much better to invest than to spend without thinking about tomorrow. As a child, I found it very hard to save, because as soon as I had any income, I spent it on sweets. Nowadays, I try to be more moderate and not spend on things that have no value. Spending just for the sake of spending can create feelings similar to watching videos on social media and liking them. It can become an addiction that distracts us from the things that are most important. Today we may be fine, but we don’t know what the future holds. It is key to prepare for adversity by being modest with expenses and maintaining a financial reserve. One must be alert to opportunities; as my grandfather used to say, "opportunities only come three times in life". Although it may sound exaggerated, the number could be higher. When those opportunities arise, it is important to invest wisely, consider all variables, and manage our resources in a smart and intelligent way. I hope you enjoy this beautiful theme. Blessings.

Si hay algo que he aprendido es que mucho mejor invertir que gastar sin pensar en el mañana. Desde niño me costaba mucho ahorrar, porque apenas tenía algún ingreso me lo gastaba en golosinas. Hoy día trato de ser mas moderado, y de no gastar en lo que no tiene valor. Gastar por gastar, puede generar sensaciones similares a las de ver videos en redes, y darle me gusta. Puede convertirse en una adicción que puede desenfocarnos de las cosas que son mas importantes. Hoy podemos estar bien, pero no se sabe que nos depare el futuro. Es clave prepararse para la adversidad, al ser modestos con los gastos y mantener una reserva financiera. Uno debe estar atento a las oportunidades, como decía mi abuelo, "las oportunidades, solo llegan 3 veces en la vida". Aunque suene exagerado, puede que el número sea mayor. Cuando se presenten esas oportunidades, es importante invertir con prudencia, sopesar todas las variables y administrar nuestros recursos de manera sabia e inteligente.
