This brought back the good old days in France when we were in his meditation classes long time ago. I was too young to communicate with the revered Zen monk.

Yup! I was lucky; he visited Thailand and had a short meditation retreat years ago. That’s how I met him for the first time. I wished I had been able to meet him when he later returned to Thailand on his way to visit Vietnam. By that time, he became very famous and had a big entourage surrounding him. So, it was more difficult to approach him and his sister nun. Much later, I was told that they wanted to meet me and see how I was doing after years of absence. But I have memories of the good old days of the small center in French countryside.
