Decluttering my space | Towards having less 📚

Hello and welcome! :)

In my last post I have explained the Project Pan idea and my approach to it. Today I'd like to share with you my first steps in this journey.

I decided to start with books, as I have all of them in one place, and I already know which ones I want to keep or sell/give away.

I divided my books into 4 categories:

  1. Books that I've read and want to keep (will read again or recommend someone).
  2. Books that I would like to read or finish.
  3. Books that I have read and won't read again (which does not mean that I didn't enjoy them).
  4. Books that I didn't and won't read.

ALL books: 74 in total + some more from when I was younger, but I want to keep them for memories, so I did not include them in the project.

(I realized I had 2 more but they were on my desk in the process of reading, so no picture, both will be kept).

1 Books that I've read and want to keep (will read again or recommend someone).

2 Books that I would like to read or finish.

3 Books that I have read and won't read again (which does not mean that I didn't enjoy them).

4 Books that I didn't and won't read.

Goal

I think my goal for this challenge is to sell or get rid of at least half of the books from categories 3 and 4.
Another goal is of course to finish reading as many books from category 2 as possible and decide whether to put them in category 1 or 3.

That would be all for now, in my next post about and minimalism I will be decluttering my cosmetics.

Stay tuned!

Wow your book collection is impressive always wanted to keep a lot of books but I'm always on the move so I end up selling all of them.

So now I just read books from YouTube

Thank you for the comment, I used to sell books too, but then I bought new ones and my collection grew again. 😅 Now I'm making space for the books I want to keep in my library because I definitely have too many.

You sell too amazing. Hard working and a book collector hehe.

Very cute and unique idea for a post!

I think we all tend to have these mental categories for our books and at the end of the day they have a monetary value and take up space so some decluttering can't hurt.

Thanks! I totally agree with you!
