It sounds as if you two are a good match and have a healthy marriage. It's so important to allow your partner the space to be themselves without retribution or expectations of change. I feel like that's where so many relationships go off the rails.

All the years were not the same. Some, especially the early ones, were rough. But we're both stubborn and we stuck it out :)

Space, for sure. We don't have a large space, but each of us has an 'office', with our own computers, our own TVs, our privacy. Makes for peace and comity.
