Everything about this post is soothing, and I must say, you have a minimalist lifestyle down pat!
I love the clear natural wood and the entire colour scheme and simplicity of the decor.
It will be a bright and positive setting come darker winter.
I'm so over winter here. It's been pissing it down all night and since I got out of bed this morning.
I LOVE that cabinet! I went charity shop hopping today looking for a suitable cabinet or wall storage (preferably with cupboards), but nothing suitable just yet... I'm tired of seeing everything on display. :)
That cupboard I restored from the UGLIEST buffet!!!! Inside are three drawers and it holds crafts, stationary, spare salad bowls etc. on the right hand side is some of our vinyl. I put those new legs and handles on it too! It was the UGLIEST cabinet. The top is veneer and I sanded and stained it walnut over this orangey ick. So don't be scared to find something ugly and functional and pretty it up. There's some good mineral paints that only require a quick scuff sand and paint easily.
And... Voila! Thoughts?

Ugh, the grey rain of Britain in Jan/Feb! It gets so depressing huh. Sending you some light!
We are putting in another window too .. !!!! Even though we live down south and it dies get cold,we don't get those extended periods of bleakness that you get, and even in winter we can get blue sky and sun.
I do like things to be bright and airy!
