The Downtown in Bacolod: A Black & White Photos

in Photography Lovers10 months ago

It was a cloudy afternoon. I was wondering about how our downtown started in the past, while sitting on a bench under the blue sky. Hearing noises of people talking and laughing, vehicles, and the different sound of footsteps. Then it came to my mind to take some photos of the modernize downtown and have the idea afterwards to make it a black and white picture.

The downtown area is very accessible to everyone. You may be from the southern part or northern part. It has a lot of small and big businesses. With just your feet, you can reach places like SM, GAISANO, LAGOON, PLAZA, different malls and different spots wherein you can view the beauty of nature.

Downtown area seems to change as time goes by. There is a renovation of malls and highways that sometimes causes a traffic due to people's curiosity with the new malls or due to highways that has so many barriers along the way. Buildings of restaurants and hotels also. With those reasons, we cannot refrain from hearing arguments from different person in their own different perspectives.

Jeepneys from traditional one to modernize jeepneys that occupy the way. You can hear different choices, just like hearing some say "I will just ride on a modernized jeepney because it is so hot" or "I will ride the traditional one, since fresh air is the best". From there, you can say that we have our point of views. But for me, I will pick the transportation that will shorten my time from travelling whether it is the traditional one or the other option.

You can hear vendors that are shouting, so that they can sell. It may be fruits, toys, clothes, repairs, and gadget accessories. What you need can be seen everywhere. Just look to the left, and look to the right and you can have what you want and what you need at a cheaper price.

Downtown seems to be wide as it is, but you can encounter people that you may know or people that will know in the future. They are just wearing their smiles. It is when you and another person meet your eyes. I was amazed by how people wear smiling faces despite being in a busy place. A city of smiles, indeed.

I may have been born in Luzon, I may have lived more years in Cebu than Bacolod, but this place has something more to explore. Bacolod may seem a small city and still in the process of becoming popular to some other places, but this will be the most treasured place in my heart that I have lived in. It is more fun in Bacolod, more to encounter, more to unleash that you will love when you visit.

If you'll try ti visit Bacolod, then that is the time you will be amazed by how it is. It will make you want to go back from time to time. Not just by how it is, by how welcoming it is, how wonderful to be here, but because the nature of beauty itself of this place.
