I flew into Iceland years ago. The landscape looked like this--I thought it looked like the surface of the moon. You captured the moon in two of your photos!
Some people might see desolation--I see quiet :) Must have been really peaceful.

To me parts of the landscape is how I would imagine it to be on Mars. Just more redtones and no atmosphere (at least not the one that gives us the blue sky on earth).
