Insect Macro Photography - A unique beetle from the Cucujidae family

Some time ago I found a beetle species that was quite unique and I had rarely found before while I was hunting insects in the forest. At first I was a little hesitant to photograph this beetle at close range using my favorite macro lens. This is because the shape of the beetle's mouth, which is like a crab's hand, makes me wary of whether this beetle will have a venomous bite.

But after I did a few shots at it, I finally worked up the courage to touch this beetle and even put it on my finger. Although at first glance this beetle looks a little scary but I managed to tame it and I am no longer worried about its bite.

After I managed to shoot some photos on my finger then I put the beetle on a small twig and then continued taking photos. As for the beetle, what I mean is a species of beetle from the Cucujidae family. Its characteristics are the predominant red and black colors. The red color is located in almost all parts of its body, while the black color includes the eyes, antennae, mouth and parts of the legs.

After photographing the beetles on the fingers and branches, I then placed the beetles on top of the leaves as shown in the photo below:
