Macro Photography - Spiders, Firebugs & Small Butterflies

PSX_20231115_193600.jpg

On this occasion I again want to share some interesting macro shots that I photographed a few days ago in several different locations. Some of the photos I share consist of two types of insects and one class of Arachnida.

The first photo is a species of bush spider, I actually often encounter this type of spider and have shared it here. But this time the color is more attractive than usual in my opinion, besides that the size is also a little bigger than usual. As for spiders I mean Oxyopes salticus.

"Oxyopes salticus is a species of spider belonging to the Oxyopidae family. This species is also part of the genus Oxyopes and the order Araneae." Wikipedia

Then the second photo object is a photo of a firebug (Pyrrhocoris apterus), this class of insect is easily recognized by its thick color, namely a combination of red & black. And interestingly I found this insect while in wild flowers, of course this involves two beauties in one shot. By the way, the firebug that I am sharing is still young, it can be seen from the parts of its wings that are not yet fully developed.

"The firebug, Pyrrhocoris apterus, is a common insect of the family Pyrrhocoridae." Wikipedia

And the last object is a butterfly species which is very small compared to butterflies in general. Because of its small size, I rarely see this butterfly flying at a height above 150 cm. However, it is more active in flying at heights below 70 cm. Apart from that, their small size also means that butterflies often become prey targets for other insects such as dragonflies, and sometimes butterflies also get caught in spider webs and become easy food for spiders.

Apart from the disadvantages, of course there are also advantages, even though this butterfly is small, it is still quite beautiful and cute. For small butterfly, what I mean is the butterfly whose Latin name is Zizula hylax.

"Zizula hylax or little blue grass, is a species of blue butterfly in the family Lycaenidae." Wikipedia

You're welcome, I liked those spidey pics, they were so crisp and who doesn't like shimmery blue butterflies, it was exactly what I needed 🙂 Have a great one.
