Last week, we agreed with my nephews' swimming coach to shoot in the pool. She met us and took us through the pool security. (without this, we just wouldn't have been allowed in there) I took with me not only a camera, but also two flashes, two racks for them and a synchronizer.

На прошлой неделе мы договорились с тренером моих племянников по плаванию о съемке в бассейне. Она нас встретила и провела через охрану бассейна. ( без этого нас просто бы туда не пустили) С собой я взял не только фотоаппарат, но и две вспышки, две стойки для них и синхронизатор.
External flashes were the right decision. since there was not enough light in the pool to take pictures at a sufficiently short shutter speed. Or it would be necessary to raise the ISO, which would lead to the formation of artifacts and digital noise in the photo. With the help of flashes, I managed to illuminate the models well and at the same time immerse the rest of the pool in darkness. Other children also trained there, and even when they got into the frame, they were in the dark against the background of bright models and did not attract attention to themselves.
Внешние вспышки были правильным решением. так как в бассейне было недостаточно светло, чтобы фотографировать на достаточно короткой выдержке. Либо надо было бы поднимать ИСО, что привело бы к образованию артефактов и цифрового шума на фото. С помощью вспышек мне удалось хорошо освещать моделей и при этом остальную часть бассейна погрузить в тьму. Там тренировались и другие дети и даже когда они попадали в кадр, они были в темноте на фоне ярких моделей и не привлекали к себе внимание.
The photo shows a brother and sister. They are my nephews and the girl is now competing periodically. Well, her brother is no longer engaged for results, but simply for health and the development of swimming skills. In this series of photos, they are just posing, but we tried to make shots where they jump from the starting pedestal into the water. Sometimes it didn't work out very well and was quite funny. I'll show you these shots next time.
На фото брат и сестра. Они мои племянники и девочка сейчас периодически выступает на соревнованиях. Ну а ее брат занимается больше не для результата, а просто для здоровья и наработки навыка плавания. На этой серии фото они просто позируют, но мы постарались сделать кадры, где они прыгают с стартовой тумбы в воду. Порой это получалось не очень удачно и достаточно забавно. Эти кадры я покажу в следующий раз.

Если вам нравится самим плавать, то вы представляете, что в бассейне очень большая влажность. Я даже вначале переживал за фотоаппарат и вспышки. Но все прошло хорошо.
