📷 COLD outside, but WARM around the heart

Hello dear friends,

On my last forest rounds in late fall 2023, I was able to make some nice mushroom finds. Most of the things I came across were not suitable for the cooking pot. One of the most beautiful motifs is of course the fly agaric. I was able to photograph some beautiful specimens again this year.

Hallo liebe Freunde,

Finally we had some snow again in Franconia - snow that didn't melt away the next day. Biking is no fun in this weather, but a forest tour on foot is always an option as long as it's not raining cats and dogs. Also, my creative phase is still going on and I've been able to complete more tracks that will be released next year.

I also went on a hike with my offspring. Fortunately, it doesn't always have to be the tablet or games console. Even a frozen puddle f.ex. is fascinating enough for the little ones to play with.

Auch mit meinen Nachkommen habe ich eine Wanderung unternommen. Es muß zum Glück nicht immer das Tablet oder Spielkonsole sein. Auch eine zugefrorene Pfütze z.B. übt genug Faszination auf die Kleinen aus, um sich damit zu beschäftigen.

The district where I grew up, on the Wartberg, which I showed my daughter, was also covered in snow.

Ein Mutantenmarder und dann auch noch in der Position?

Ein rüstiger Rentner hat diesem Waldabschnitt einen Parcours mit einigen Schnitzerein, Sprüchen etc. aufgebaut. Den guten Mann habe ich im Sommer zufällig mal im Wald kennengelernt. Der Marder ist schon seit Jahren ausgestopft vor Ort. Den hatte der Rentner dort dereinst vorgefunden. ;-)

What a pleasant journey for you that day, you passed several roads full of snow and some of them looked like frozen mushrooms, I was surprised at one object, was it a frozen animal? Or I saw it wrong

No, you didn't make a mistake. That's a stuffed marten that has been on a course there for years.

I love this kind of walks in nature when everything being covered in white. I feel you with the biking activity as it's one of my passions and it never felt fun during the winter, but happily walking is always suitable no matter what the season is.
