Yesterday I was with my family to visit my parents. Unmistakably the merry month of May had made all honor to his name and proverbial the trees again dipped in manifold green. With pleasant temperatures my two "not so little ones" could already play nicely in the garden. My daughter also took her first outdoor bath - albeit involuntarily and fortunately not with her entire body - in the small garden pond of my parents.

gestern war ich mit meiner Familie bei meinen Eltern zu Besuch. Unübersehbar hatter der Wonnemonat Mai seinem Namen alle Ehre gemacht und sprichwörtlich die Bäume wieder in manigfaltiges Grün getaucht. Bei angenehmen Temperaturen konnten meine beiden gar nicht mehr so Kleinen schon richtig schön im Garten spielen. Mein Tochter nahm auch ihr erstes Bad im Freien - wenn auch unfreiwillig und zum Glück nicht mit kompletten Körper - im kleinen Gartenteich meiner Eltern.
The somewhat larger "pond" ;-) that you can admire in this series of pictures is the small river called Tauber, which flows into the Main river in Wertheim. In the early evening hours of May 1, the sun again provided the best light for interesting photos. The reflections in the Tauber were extremely photogenic.

Der etwas größere Teich, den ihr auf dieser Bilderserie bewundern könnt, ist der kleine Fluß namens Tauber, der in Wertheim in den Main mündet. In den frühen Abendstunden des 1. Mai lieferte die Sonne wieder bestes Licht für interessante Fotos. Die Spiegelungen in der Tauber waren äußerst fotogen.
These reflections were also loved by a good acquaintance and former sports colleague of mine, who at the beginning of March unfortunately was unexpectedly ordered back to where all life always begins. In recent years, we had often met by chance while photographing in downtown Wertheim. Since we were united not only by our passion for sports and photography, but also by many similar views on important things in life, such a chance meeting on the Tauber could easily last an hour. In addition, he was - no is - also a soul of man. "Manni" take care, wherever you are now.

Diese Spiegelungen liebte auch ein guter Bekannter und ehemaliger Sportskollege von mir, der leider Anfang März unverhofft zum Schöpfer zurück beordert wurde. In den letzten Jahren hatten wir uns oft zufällig beim Fotografieren in der Wertheimer Innenstadt getroffen. Da uns beide nicht nur die Leidenschaft für Sport und die Fotografie , sondern auch viele ähnliche Ansichten zu wichtigen Dingen des Lebens einten, konnte so ein zufälliges Treffen an der Tauber auch mal schnell ein Stunde dauern. Zudem war - nein ist - er auch eine Seele von Mensch. Manni mach's gut, wo immer Du auch jetzt bist.
If you are ever in the country or in the vicinity, a short trip to Wertheim is definitely worthwhile from a cultural point of view. On the banks of the Tauber you can see the Kittstein Gate with high-water markings and the town hall. The Gothic building in the background is the collegiate church. And above it all towers Wertheim Castle. Musical events also take place at Werheim Castle, which also serves culinary delights in the summer. From techno to jazz, everyone gets their money's worth. And who doesn't like any kind of music...? At least I don't know anyone who fits this description ;-)

Falls ihr mal im Lande, oder in der Nähe seid, ist ein kurzer Abstecher nach Wertheim auf jeden Fall auch aus kultureller Hinsicht lohnenswert. Am Tauberufer seht ihr das Kittsteintor mit Hochwassermarkierungen und das Rathaus. Der gotische Bau im Hintergrund ist die Stiftskirche. Und über allem tront die Wertheimer Burg. Auf der Werheimer Burg, die im Sommer auch kulinarisch bewirtet wird, finden auch musikalische Veranstaltungen statt. Von Techno bis Jazz kommt da jeder mal auf seine Kosten. Und wer mag schon nicht irgendeine Art von Musik...? Ich kennen zumindest niemanden, auf den das zuträfe. ;-)

The place is amazing, the pond the castle is a really good to look at. Glad your daughter had her first outdoor bath. For sure she really enjoyed the moment.
It slipped into the pond in the style of a minor accident. I wonder if she enjoyed it. Probably not... ;-) But it was not too bad. :-)

Wow what a fabulous place, the kids must have had a world of fun despite the cold water, that lake and the beautiful structures, you remind me of those medieval movies, fabulous pictures.

When I see that kind of architecture in the house, old colonial houses, I remember a lot the old movies that I liked to watch, my dream is to live in a house like that when I'm old.
