Food Photography: Indonesian Cuisine - Empal Gentong

Empal Gentong is my favorite food, Indonesian culinary, which comes from the city of Cirebon, West Java. Empal Gentong is a soupy dish consisting of beef, intestines, and tripe. Which has a strong savory taste because of its combination with coconut milk. The taste of this dish is very distinctive because it is cooked in a clay pot with wood fuel. The aroma of empal gentong will be more distinctive if it is cooked with mango tree wood, that's what I heard from the owner :D. Very appropriately served for dinner.

I took those photos when I traveled to Cirebon. I love the city, the food, and the peoples.
