Yesterday afternoon I took my kids to one of the parks. It seemed like rain was coming and going but it wasn’t too much. As we came to the park, my daughter was going to ride her scooter and I wanted to take some photos of flowers. But it didn’t work as we planned because a bunch of squirrels came down from the trees. We never saw all of them at once. I think there was about 5-6 of them walking around looking for food.

Later in about 20 minutes an elderly lady came to the park and she was handing (!) peanuts to the squirrels. It was so cute to watch the squirrels to take the peanut with her small tiny hands (paws).

We saw one squirrel wasn’t eating her peanut, she took it somewhere up the tree hid it and came back for more.

My kid was so happy to see this wildlife interacting with people.

I was afraid to feed or touch the squirrel because one of my friends told me in the past that squirrel might carry some diseases. So we were just enjoying the show from the distance.

I think squirrels in this park are pretty spoiled by that lady who feeds them. They recognize her from far away, and they eat from her hands. I wonder if they could make a good pet.
