Hello, hello frens. I know I rarely — or honestly, almost never — post in this community 🙈 even though it’s one of my favorites. It intimidates me a bit knowing that this is the hub of so many professionals.
I love photography, but I know there are many areas to explore. Still, I think I’m definitely drawn to less conventional photography — the kind that plays with light, concepts, or metaphors. And especially self-portrait sessions.
These photos came out very spontaneously. I was playing with some lighting panels I recently bought and I’m still learning how to use them. I saw the backlight with the red lighting and I loved the result.
But the most curious photos were the ones I captured with the Yggdrasil map behind me 🔙 — the nine worlds of Norse mythology. I have it as a poster because it came as a gift when I bought the books 📚 and I’ve always liked its design.
The night went from being creative to becoming a metaphor with that map. Don’t you think?
Yes, I used a touch of editing with Lightroom to push the frame a bit, and I think I managed to achieve it. What do you think?
Me encanta la fotografía pero sé que hay muchas áreas que se pueden explorar. Pero creo que definitivamente me gusta la fotografía menos convencional, la que juega con luces, conceptos o metáforas. Y sobretodo las sesiones de autoretrato.

Sí, usé un toque de edición con Lightroom para explotar el cuadro y creo que lo alcancé. ¿Ustedes qué opinan?
