I love this new series of seascape paintings; I love the sea, and yes, I agree that the role of the frames has changed. In this case, I like it too, because it’s about the sea and conveys its vastness.
In the first piece I see... a view from above, a strangely shaped jetty structure where the waves crash against it. Do you know what I see? The ruins of an old lighthouse... that’s the first thing I saw. It’s very good. I like this one too, more than the ones depicting the sea seen through a ship’s porthole.
You see quite a lot of things in one painting. I bet you could also write about it in length :)
It’s true; I also like to look at them up close and appreciate the brushstrokes😃
