This wonderful frigate is installed on the other bank of the Neva River opposite another wonderful ship - the cruiser Aurora. Back in 1917, a shot from this cannon heralded the beginning of the October Revolution in Russia. In any case, they say so. But we are not talking about glorious ships, but about ... reflections, and reflections of ships as well.

В далёком 1917 году выстрел этой пушки возвестил начало Октябрьской революции в России. Во всяком случае так говорят. Но речь пойдёт не о славных кораблях, а об... отражениях, и отражениях кораблей в том числе.
The glasses on the first floor of the Leningrad Hotel are made with a so-called mirror coating. They are well cleaned and serve as a good reflection of city life. More precisely, pictures of city life. By the way, the first general photo of the glasses shows the reflection of the frigate. The blue building is the building of the Nakhimov School. Aurora is "parked" next to it, but in these reflections it is poorly visible due to its color. It simply dissolves in the glass of this showcase.
Стёкла первого этажа гостиницы Ленинград сделаны с так называемым зеркальным покрытием. Их хорошо чистят и они служат хорошим отражателем жизни города. Точнее, картинок жизни города. Кстати, на первом общем фото стёкол видно отражение фрегата. Голубое здание является зданием Нахимовского училища. Рядом с ним "припаркована" Аврора, но в этих отражениях она плохо видна из-за своего цвета. Она просто растворяется в стёклах этой витрины.

Here the left side reflects the content of the right. But the glass is positioned at such an angle that the halves of the image do not repeat. The illusion of the integrity of the picture is created. By the way, the cruiser Aurora was reflected here in the left half.
Здесь левая часть отражает содержание правой. Но стекло расположено под таким углом, что половинки изображения не повторяются. Создаётся иллюзия целостности картинки. Кстати, здесь в левой половине отразился крейсер Аврора.
This is a pure reflection, a mirror image, and here is Aurora in all its glory. However, here they came together with the frigate.
Это чистое отражение, зеркальная картинка и здесь Аврора во всей красе. Впрочем, тут они сошлись вместе с фрегатом.
There are several other interesting artifacts in this place. Somehow I'll show them too.
