Well, technically, everyone is a curator on Hive. The process of voting, commenting, and other means of support for content and other users here is considered 'curation.'

However, we do have a couple of people that curate this community specifically to find posts to feature here in the HotShots posts. Curators also look for abuse, plagiarism, activity from the same account on Steemit. Curators make sure the users here are abiding by the community rules and the Hive rules in general.

Then, we also have OCD, which incubates this community. So, as we curate the community we then nominate valid posts for curation by OCD. It can all be a bit confusing and it can also be a bit of work. Sometimes, curating comes with little to no rewards, but it does help new and underrewarded users grow much faster and expand their reach to more users.

I hope that made sense.

Ok, thank you! I was only curios about how it works 'behind the scene' and how whales chose the post to curate. Thank you for information!
