Many thanks @nicklewis I use a 5D MKIII and a 400mm lens. Would give my right arm for a 500 or 600. But would only consider getting one if I knew that it would get a lot of use. A lot of money for a rarely used lens.

That’s the thing and that’s why I sold mine because it went from being used quite a bit to just those bi-annual air shows. I feel these days expense has to be double justified with the cost of everything in life.
