Sculptures At Doddington Hall

Doddington Hall is a large country house a few miles outside of Lincoln. Originally built between 1593 and 1600 but it fell into disrepair in the late 1800s to early 1900s. During the mid to late part of the 20th century the family that owned it completely renovated it and eventually opened up the hall and extensive gardens to the public.

Pulling shapes

Once every two year, sculptors from all over the UK and other countries showcase their work in the gardens and parts of the home. Some of the installations are exceptional. Their are big ones (life sized horses and stags) and much smaller ones, both indoors and out. I think this year there were about 300 pieces of art to view.

All of the installations are available to buy (although the highest price tag of £75,000 is way above my pocket, although there are cheaper items starting at £20. Most are something to behold and the talent of some of these creative people is something to see.

There are some pieces I would love to have, I am sure they would make a great investment.

They are all interesting👌
But the first one is for us 📷

@cryptoreforma thanks, as a photographer, I guess that was one of my favourites too.

The sculptor of the woman is quite impressive. Looking very realistic. I think my favourite here is that of the cheater. It looks so sleek. If money was not a challenge, I would not mind getting it.

@starstrings01 The woman is life size and uncannily realistic. The cheetah appealed to me too. It would look fantastic in the right setting.

Magnificent photographs and undoubtedly very striking and interesting sculptures. I especially like the photograph showing the statue of the man with the camera. The color, texture, and shape of the body are very intriguing. It looks as if he’s gazing down at something he’s about to capture with his lens. The sculpture of the woman is also very realistic, and the colors are very eye catching

@soyernesto thank you. There were so many stunning pieces of art. The photographer was definitely one of my favourites.
