Some of these companies include PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda, PT Asean Aceh Fertilizer, and PT Kertas Kraf Aceh.
In addition to its natural gas wealth, Lhokseumawe also has a comparative advantage because it is crossed by the Sea Communications Line. The Maritime Communications Line is the main maritime route between ports used for trade, logistics and naval purposes.
