Hey everyone! Big hello from me and from all the colors of autumn leaves that ever existed plus a few that maybe only my imagination can see. See that neon blue leaf? No, hmm... 🤭
Autumn ~ a magical queen ruling over Serbia right now, dressed in her finest clothes - all shiny reds, oranges, yellows and just a little touch of green bunt. Ground is like one big colorful carpet and every step makes that soft, crunchy sound that only autumn can make! I love it.
A few days ago, we went to my great-grandmother's old house, one we use as a weekend place now. Went there with a plan to take some photos of our vinyl record collection to write a blog for the Hive Collectors community, which I did.
But the moment I stepped into the yard and saw the leaves I immediately started taking photos, like 10 pics per second, just click click click... :)
The red 'n' orange ones from the cherry trees behind the house caught my eye right away. Glowing like little flames in the sunlight. 😍 The rest of the yard was full of walnut leaves, all brown and soft like a cozy carpet. Everything looked so calm that I even lost our dog Maza a few times, oops. She blended in perfectly with the colors, like a tiny autumn chameleon. I swear she was enjoying watching me walk around confused while she just sat there wagging her tail, pretending she has that Harry Potter's invisibility cloak.
Have to confess I did move a few leaves around to make a small composition I imagined in my head at the moment... just a few details here and there. Let's just name it "a touch of creative help".
While taking these photos I again realized how much I love this season. Autumn feels peaceful and a bit nostalgic, like nature softly saying, "Let's slow down for a while and take a deep breath." Even the air smells special with that mix of smoke and wood and some old dusty notes. But still sharp somehow, hurting your nose a little bit, hinting that snow is on its way.
Tell me how much do U love autumn? What does it make you think of and how much space does it take up on your phone? In megabytes or gigabytes like me? :D
I hardly ever stress about the weather, almost never. I don't follow forecasts or read daily news about how the climate is terrible, how huge changes are happening and how every hour brings some new apocalypse that's supposedly all our fault. I like the wayGeorge Carlin explained that the Earth existed long before us and it's absolutely fine and will be after us. We are the ones hurting only ourselves. The planet is perfectly okay on its own, don't you think so?
So maybe take a moment this autumn to just enjoy it without thinking too much. Just listen to the beautiful music of the leaves. 🍂🍁🍃
