little about fish / bit more about spiders

I've already shared our little aquarium kingdom once here, so these are a few new photos. This time I focused only on the part with that unusually shaped piece of wood. And the moment I came closer with the camera, half of them scattered, so I managed to capture only a few, not shy ones. The bigger ones, more colorful, yellow, pink, orange fish, they all disappeared and hid themselves in other corners.

But who cares... if they didn't want to be photographed, they don't have to, that's what we called freedom, fish freedom. 🥰 The real show was stolen by the ones I call the "ordinary" grayish fish, along with a few that shimmer beautifully from blue to red shades. I'll never remember which species is which, except for my favorites, the black mollies. They're easy to recognize, that's why. xD

These little spots on the glass were just temporary, they're from cleaning and changing the water. That's actually why I found it fun to take pictures; the whole aquarium looked like sparkly mineral water that day. 😍

Do you have an aquarium or did you maybe have one when you were a kid? A lot of people say they used to, and that it's a big responsibility and quite a bit of work, so they eventually gave it up. Honestly, I'm not sure, I just turn on the light for them and feed them whenever their "landlady" a.k.a. my fiancé’s mom, forgets to do it, hihi.

It was actually our birthday gift to her a few years ago. As for me, I spend more time next to our pond with a different kind of fish - carp, to be exact. ☺️

If not an aquarium, did you maybe have, or do you still have a little bird, a guinea pig, a snake or even a tarantula? Tarantulas in movies always fascinated me, but there's no way I would ever dare to keep one. Our local spiders are peaceful, a completely different story. I'm not afraid of them at all and I often feel bad about destroying their complicated little woven homes.

So yeah, if you ever see a lot of spiderwebs at my place, it's not because I'm lazy or messy; it's just that spiders don't bother me.
And, well, I must admit… it's pretty convenient when an annoying buzzing fly gets caught in their trap. So spiders are my little sweet helpers. ☺️

I think these are guppy (rainbow fish) if I am not mistaken. We had them; we even had two medium/big sized fish tanks, and smaller 'cages' inside them for the babies, until they grow a bit bigger and are not in a danger anymore from the big ones. Not sure why we stopped with the whole thing around the fish tanks. Then last year we were moving and I sold everything, with all the equipment (filters, lights etc) to have a bit less stuff to pack and carry... 😅
