Hey hey dear people! It's been a while (twelve days to be precise --> so tooo much) since I’ve posted here. I kinda went off the radar for a bit... no big reason; just pure laziness, honestly. xD You know that phase when you want to share something, but every time you open your gallery you're like: "A-a, not today"? Yeah, that was me for the last couple of days when it comes to photography corner of HIVE.
What's funny is that this place always gives me such a warm and supportive vibe, always. Even when I post photos that are far far from perfect, people here still cheer me up and make me feel like an artist anyway. That's one of the reasons I love this community so much; you can actually grow here without feeling judged.
Anyway, let me brag a bit (a little, promise!) . A few days ago, my fiancé came from work and surprised me with a new phone, jeeej! 😍 So no more of that old story: "These pics were taken with my old but gold Xiaomi Redmi 9 and edited using the prehistoric version of PhotoScape". Hihi.
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my new partner in crime > Samsung A56 5G (2025). 🤗 WOHOOOOOOO!
Ofc I'm not abandoning my old buddy PhotoScape v3.7, there is no way! It's like that one comfy sweater you refuse to throw away. Still, this time I decided to share some raw, untouched photos... straight from my first little test walk around the yard, to the pond and back.

My loyal "models" were waiting for me there. Nature dressed up like it's going to some fancy autumn ball. Leaves were showing off their golden outfits and air smelled like damp wood, even the old painted "čardak" (a granary -wooden structure where people usually keep grains) looked like it wanted a photoshoot with this new phone of mine. Oh and there was a dandelion with a tiny visitor sitting on top; if you zoom in, you might spot it. 🐞

The walk itself was short and sweet. I went out to test the camera, got instantly amazed and then came back home to cook some soup because... well, priorities! :D At first, I planned to post these photos right away, but I’m actually glad I waited. It’s like letting dough rest and rise before baking; a little time always makes things better.
So instead of just 5 random photos with a lazy caption, I decided to share double the photos and a bit more heart. (Did I just compliment myself? hihih). But seriously, I feel like these photos somehow absorbed that calm, cozy and I must say lazy energy of the day... you will see what I mean once you scroll through them all.
Little confession time now > When I first used camera in a room, my first thought was:
"Wait a sec, this new Samsung doesn't feel as good as my old Quad Core from like ten years ago!"
I swear, the nostalgia hit me hard. Then I looked it up online (detective mode activated 🕵️♀️) and apparently it’s a real thing; people often feel that way when they used one device for years and know every trick to make it shine.
So yeah, maybe it's not this phone's fault, maybe it's just me needing some time to get used to the new settings. I already noticed tons of advanced options I haven't even explored yet. We'll see in the next few days how it performs once I get more comfortable using it and start experimenting properly.

What I can say so far... I'm really happy with how crisp and detailed the shots came out, crispy as the chicken fillets I made the other day. Even without editing, the light looks natural and the colors have that soft realistic tone I usually spend half an hour trying to fix in PhotoScape from 2014. xD
Feel like this little photo walk reminded me why I fell in love with photography in the first place, not because of perfect composition or fancy gear, but because of those simple quiet moments when you suddenly notice beauty in the most random things. It actually took me back to my elementary school days... I had my good old Sony Ericsson W580i with me. During one art class, our teacher gave us an assignment to go out into the schoolyard and take some interesting photos with our phones. I still remember how badly I wanted to stand out, to do something different. So I picked a leaf from a tree, carefully carved a little heart shape into it and made a tiny opening right in the middle. Then I started placing it against different surfaces and taking photos through that heart-shaped hole. Teacher was honestly amazed and she told me I had real talent... literally said I had "an eye for photography". 🥰

Thank you, guys, for reading these silly, rambling blogs of mine. I keep thinking how sterile and boring it would be if I didn't generously share these goofy thoughts… I can't even imagine myself without making jokes at my own expense. Still, YESS, I know I could use a bit more seriousness, in my writing and in other areas of life as well. But hey, everything can be learned; we will work on it every day. 🤗
Until my next round of rambling, I wish you all a clear view, good focus and spotless lenses. Kisses and hugs as well.

Looking like you got a good phone! Photos are very sharp and nice!
Seems like it is true quality for this range of price. I really like it.
Your first moments with the camera felt so genuine and passionate, making us happy to see your effort and passion in every shot. Keep up the good work and keep moving forward!
